Methi Puri

A creative recipe for a lazy weekend morning....Deep fried Puris with Methi leaves and spices...After all who doesn't like fried stuff...Cover up your guilt by saying that Methi leaves are healthy ;)

Preparation time : 20 minutes                                                            Serves 4

Ingredients :
  • 2 Cups Wheat flour
  • 1 Cup Methi (Fenugreek) leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 Green chilly finely chopped
  • 1 Spoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 Spoon jeera powder
  • 1 Spoon Coriander powder
  • 1 Spoon Garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste 
  • Oil for frying.
How to Make :
  • Add all the ingredients to the wheat flour, and mix well.
  • Knead the flour into a soft dough.
  • Divide dough into small balls, and roll out into puris.
  • Heat oil in a pan, and deep fry the puris till they turn golden brown.
  • Serve hot with Potato curry and lemon, or with onion raita.
