Palak Paneer

A healthy and yet yummy preparation. Used as an excellent side dish for roti.

Preparation time: 30 minutes                       Serves 4


  • 2 cups Chopped spinach
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 spoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 Cup Paneer cubes
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 spoon jeera powder
  • 1 spoon garam masala
  • 2 spoons red chiily powder.
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 spoon fresh cream.
How to make:
  • Heat oil in a pan, and fry the paneer cubes till they turn into golden brown. Set aside.
  • Steam spinach and tomatoes, and make a puree out of it.
  • Now take 2 tsps oil in a pan, and fry the ginger garlic paste in it for around a minute.
  • Add the chopped onions in it and fry for a while.
  • Now add the spinach and tomato puree to it, and saute for a while.
  • Now add jeera powder, garam masala, redchilly powder, and salt and mix well.
  • Finally add the fried paneer cubes in it. Top with some fresh cream. Serve hot !
