Gobi Matar

A yummy gravy & side dish...
Preparation time: 30 minutes                   
Serves 4

  • 2 cups of cauliflower, neatly chopped.
  • 1 cup green peas.
  • 2 tomatoes.
  • 1 onion.
  • 1/2 spoon ginger garlic paste.
  • 1 spoon garam masala.
  • 1/2 spoon jeera powder.
  • 1 spoon red chilly powder.
  • 1/2 spoon dhania powder.
  • Salt to taste.
How to make:
  • Steam cauliflower and green peas and set aside.
  • Make paste out of tomatoes and onions (separately)
  • Now in a pan heat some oil, and add ginger garlic paste and saute for a while till the raw smell goes.
  • Add onion puree and fry for around a minute.
  • Now add tomato puree, and boil for a while, after adding a little water to enhance the gravy.
  • Now add jeera powder, dhania powder, red chilly powder,garam masala and salt to taste. 
  •  Finally add the steamed veggies and simmer for a while.
  • Top it with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with roti or pulao.
